Domestic Violence Intervention Partnership
Victim Advocates in the Domestic Violence Intervention Partnership provide immediate crisis response and ongoing support for victims of intimate partner violence. Most referrals are received from detectives within the Domestic Abuse Response Team in the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. Victim Advocates may respond at the police station, hospital, courthouse, or at the scene of a domestic disturbance call.

Most referrals are received from detectives in the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Units in the St. Louis County Police Department. Victim Advocates may respond at the police station, hospital, courthouse, or at the scene of a domestic disturbance call.
The Domestic Violence Intervention Partnership began in 1997, and the Sexual Violence Intervention Partnership began in 2023. These programs are devoted to enhancing communication between criminal courts, civil courts, and the St. Louis City and County Police Departments in order to develop coordinated and effective information systems, procedures, resources, and services for victims of domestic or sexual violence.
